At North Roanoke we believe that corporate worship is the heartbeat that drives the purposes of the Church. There are many opportunities to serve in worship ministry at North Roanoke…come check us out!
The Sanctuary Choir – We lead our congregation in the worship of God every week at both hours of 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. In this non-auditioned large group setting, different personalities and gifts make for a wide selection of choral and congregational music in our worship services. We rehearse 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
The Worship Team and Band – We have singers and instrumentalists that lead worship in our 11:00 a.m. Celebration Service. Invitation-only, this area of worship ministry is for adults ages 18 and up. Contact Jake for more information.
The Children’s Choir Ministry – At North Roanoke, kids are important! They are important to God and it is important that they are taught early how to praise Him! From the age of 3 through the 5th Grade, our children are enrolled in age appropriate choirs that teach them to worship God through music. Children experience music making through singing, movement, and instruments. The Children’s Choir Ministry prepares and presents a seasonal musical offering that gives our kids the opportunity to lead parents, siblings, and the entire church in a worship experience. As part of our Wednesday night L.I.F.E. lineup for Fall, our school-age children meet together from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Our Preschool Choir meets during the Fall lineup and is also meeting January - March 2012.
The Hallelujah Ringers – Our handbell choir provides yet another unique outlet of worship ministry. This audition-only group meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. as part of our weekly L.I.F.E. activities.
The Singing Saints – Our non-auditioned senior adult choir meets Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. (September - May) and we minister in area nursing homes and lead in worship.
Other Areas of Worship Ministry Service – At North Roanoke we recognize the need for gifted persons who are called to serve in areas of technology in worship. As well as audio, we utilize multimedia in all of our services.
