Laying a foundation
At North Roanoke we are committed to providing a preschool/kid's ministry that prepares the way for kids to know Jesus as their personal Savior and lays the foundation for them to begin a lifetime of knowing, loving, and serving Him. We are investing in kids and connecting them to Christ.

We consider it a blessing to serve families by loving babies - pre k boys & girls while parents/ guardians are refueling and refreshing through small group relationships, corporate worship, and serving others.
At North Roanoke we know it is never to early to begin speaking/sharing truth from God's word with little ones and take the opportunity to share these truths and pray with and over each child very seriously. We do this most consistently through our weekly ministries in which we offer Sunday school, Preschool worship, and Wednesday night activities. We also have special events throughout the year geared towards our preschool friends and their families. These events include, but are not limited to, VBS, Easter Egg Hunt, & Trunk or Treat. All of our times are spent in well-staffed rooms with volunteers that are trained and annually background checked. |

kids' ministry
As commanded in Deuteronomy 6, at North Roanoke we believe it is the primary responsibility of the parents to disciple their children. Our desire is to come along side parents and support them in this endeavor. One of the main ways we strive to do so is by using The Gospel Project curriculum. On Sunday mornings during Sunday School and Worship, we are working our way through a three-year plan from Genesis to Revelation, and every lesson points us to Jesus. What is exciting is that many of our adult classes are also using The Gospel Project material, as well as our youth. So families are studying the same lesson each week.
On Wednesday nights, we have Bible class rotations that focus on committing Bible verses to memory and becoming life-long worshippers.
In addition to our regular weekly programming, we also have individual events throughout the year that are intended to be special moments in a child's relationship with Christ.
